Miami Springs Optimist Cadet Squadron have been serving with honor since 1954 to becoming one of the best squadrons in the country. We are proud of our work in Civil Air Patrol.

We also volunteer our time and efforts in many of the local

Awards
Over the years M.S.O.C.S. have received many awards
demonstrating time and time again the excellence of our
squadron and the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program. This area

A brief outline of the History of the MSOCS
1954 - Originally formed as Miami Cadet Squadron A (All Male)
1957 - Reformed as a composite squadron where from Miami Cadet Squadron A became Miami Composite Squadron 2
4 April 1961 Became the Miami Springs Cadet Squadron meeting at the George Baker School of Aviation
1972 Aligned with the Miami Springs Optimist Club
1978 Obtained charter as a Flight
1979 Obtain the current charter as a squadron 08319 (SER-FL-319)
2005 Relocated to Alteon Training building in Virginia Gardens .
2007 Return to the Miami Springs Optimist Club.
